拍底片這麼久了,其實這段時間也接觸過不少的底片。連偏門(?)的電影底片也玩過不少捲。這裡其實是要寫給一位澳門朋友看的(誤)

先說結論,負片先抱著Fuji Color X-tra400。黑白則可以考慮Kodak T-max、Kodak X-tra以及Ilford Pan這三支,比較便宜,而且成像表現也當相當不錯!

後記:一股腦寫太多只好先把黑白負片的部分先填完,彩色負片、彩色正片和電影底片可能就往後面寫。

但是我常常說,一種底片如果沒有長時間去接觸,單就幾次的經驗來評斷這捲底片,其實是不準確的。像我自己是手沖,早些時候根本不管溫度和翻滾方式,有時候五十秒搖一次,有時候忘了晚了幾十秒,或多或少都可能影響每次成像的性質。其次則是掃描器的設定和店掃的曲線。老實說掃描這段反而影響的比什麼都大。所以挑選一家合自己口味的店掃反而是一開始接觸底片最需要去嘗試的事情。底片呢,先抱住一支而且好好愛他吧!

 

先說說Kodak T-max400,這卷算是替換Ilford Delta的底片。原因就是,Delta實在太貴太貴了。我還一次買了四卷!當初班代豆干雙跟我說一共是一千塊的時候整個(ᇂдᇂ )Koadk T-max,底片上的代號叫做TMY。乳劑有改善,能夠更細緻而且對於低光源也能有很好的表現。屬於扁平粒子畫質比較細緻,,但是反差大,曲線也陡峭,,比較不適合增感。但是以實際面而言,反而能夠創造成對比鮮明的影像。

Kodak Professional T-MAX Film is a continuous tone, panchromatic, tabular-grain black and white negative film made by Eastman Kodak. It is sold in three speeds: 100, 400 and 3200. The 100 and 400 speeds are given as ISO numbers, but the 3200 is sold as a multi-speed film.In early 2002, Kodak replaced their similarly titled Kodak T-MAX Professional Film with Kodak Professional T-MAX Film. There was also a slight change to the packaging. The main difference between the two are in the processing times.The 3200 speed is actually nominally 800 speed. It has uses in surveillance and other work where it can be given a pushed exposure index between 1600 and 25000

額外一提,T-Max最強有出到iso 3200,想嘗試室內、夜晚街拍,找這卷就對了。說到很貴,我還是得在講回Ilford的底片。最早接觸的底片其實是Ilford Pan 100,但是這捲在沖洗的時候搞壞了,沖出白片。第二捲比較成功的就是Ilford Delta 400,但是這捲雖然沖洗成功,但是上片卻失敗了。在上塑膠軸的時候爆走,明明沒有擠上軌道還是惱羞的往下轉,轉進去是轉進去了,但是乳劑卻受傷了。Delta的確是非常細緻的底片之一,加上使用同一家的顯影劑,效果比起其他種沖法應該是相對好的。像是Kodak TMY就有出專用的顯影劑,或多或少在曲線、濃度上會比其他家的來的優秀。

但是自從開始知道TMY之後,就比較少碰Ilford的底片了,因為貴上不少。但是之前買了六捲左右,就捨不得拍一直放在防潮箱裡頭,到有一次回彰化老家的時候,又把它拿出來拍。

大致上拍完之後就會比較少拍這捲底片了,或許有點可惜,但是便宜比較重要。(=◞౪◟=‵)這只底片的定位大致跟TMY相同,屬於細緻、扁平顆粒,而且都有做到高感光度3200。算是兩家推出的專業黑白底片。

下一捲要講的是Kentmere 400,這家底片商在不久前也被Ilford收購,換個面向,可以說成是Ilford的OEM。2007年10月Kentmere公司被 HARMAN technology Limited 買下,與ILFORD公司整合成為目前世界上最大的相紙提供廠,基本上兩大感光材料生產公司的架構維持不變,所有經銷通路依舊。以前Kentmere只有生產相紙,在併購之後出產了Kentmere 100和400的底片以及顯影液,但是與Ilford的合作下,或許可以想成是另外一種Ilofrd提供技術的生產公司。也就是Kentmere皮、Ilford骨就是了。

這捲底片其實充滿著各種悲劇。第一個是沒頭沒尾的增感,第二個是在沒有用過這捲底片的情況下,直,接,增,感。這絕對是有事的人才會這樣做的事情喔!你如果沒有先測試過這捲底片的基調和曲線,直接增感就會造成反差爆炸的情況。像是這卷我就拍出了很多沒有臉的模特兒。(遮臉)。第二個有事的事情是我的抗水斑劑(Water Against)量調錯了,導致底片在晾乾的時候非常的黏,黏了一身的毛球。

再來一卷是Ilford HP5+400。之前我好像說過我打死再也不用,但是有捲底片好便宜,不拍嗎?(つ◞౪◟⊂‵)。比起來這捲底片的定位大概跟Kodak的Tri-X相同,屬於粒子細、色調寬廣、對比稍低,可增感的底片類型。記得他的粒子是圓形粒子,比起扁平粒子有更好的增感特性。我記得好像這卷是傳統乳劑的樣子。

此外還有另外一捲是Ilford FP4+ ,感度是125度。當初會收這卷是挺意外的,是在武昌時代撿120底片時,老闆拿出來的最後幾捲。兩卷過期的TMY400、一捲FP4和一捲HP5。其實挺便宜的,每一捲都是一百塊。(灑花)。Ilford FP4+的特性,黑白分明高反差,低感度的底片和高顆粒感結合在一起。

這樣說起來其實Ilford的系列底片我大概都用過了。但還是有幾支看過,但是沒有用過。例如紅外線底片Ilford SFX 200、假黑白底片ILFORD XP2 Super 400 BW、超高感度Ilford Delta 3200。以後有機會再來分享w。關於Ilford SFX 200,其實我有沖洗過,是朋友拜託給我沖洗的。
